Arranging a Poetry Collection
If you're a poet, short story writer, or essayist, you've probably spent some time (and maybe a lot of time) thinking about ways to structure a collection. In the April Writer's Digest, Paola Corso offers some tips on how poets can go about this. And the article is available online, too.

I appreciate this link to an article on a challenging point for poets. In the MFA class I took on this issue, a variety of organizations in very good poetry books. But still, the personal decision of what order one's own poems might best take was presented as just that -- a personal decision. I wish the advice from this essay had been introduced in that class on arrangement. Thanks for hooking poets up to some valuable guidance.
