Occupational Hazards
The more time I spend at the computer the more often I feel disturbing pains in my fingers, hands, and wrists. I need to heed some of the advice in Geoff Hart's article on avoiding repetitive-stress injuries. Maybe you do, too. (Thanks to Claire Zulkey at the MB Toolbox for the lead.)

One thing I have noticed about my laptop use, that I didn't notice in the linked article, seems to come from the energy from the computer: pain or strange twinges in my knees and wrists or hands/ fingers. I think it comes from the contact with the machine. It all leads me to remember to simply take a break. Go outside. Write with a pen.
That, of course, brings me back to the Most Annoying of my writer's occupational hazards: ink stains. I can't begin to list the clothes and bed clothes I have marked forever with my poetic aspirations.
