You've probably noticed some changes here at the blog, like the nifty new labels to help categorize each post. That's thanks to Blogger, though I have to say I'm still undecided about the changes, since I haven't quite figured out how they all work (or how to convert the "old" blog completely to the new template).
But I've also made a couple of changes on my own. Yesterday I added two sites to the list of "Frequently Read Blogs/Links." Check them out when you have time.
1) AskAllison: I've been meaning to link to Allison Winn Scotch's blog for awhile. During my time away these past few days I was perusing my sister's magazines. I noticed an article in one national parenting magazine with Allison's byline, which reminded me to get the link to her excellent blog, "the place to post questions and find answers on all of your too-afraid-to-ask concerns, hesitancies and worries about breaking into the publishing field," going. Finally.
2) The NewsU blog: I've mentioned NewsU as a useful resource before (and published a short piece about its online course offerings in Writer's Digest earlier this year). Now NewsU has a blog, and it's looking like a good place to learn about "other great online training opportunities available for journalists, journalism students, educators and all those just interested in getting better at craft skills--such as writing, editing and visuals--as well as intangibles, like leadership and ethics."
