The Practicing Writer Named "Website of the Week"

Thanks so much to the folks at the Hayden's Ferry Review blog for naming The Practicing Writer "Website of the Week"! We all know how nice it is to be appreciated. In this case, I'm particularly grateful because over the years HFR, an excellent journal, has rejected multiple short stories of mine. It's nice to know they like SOME of what I do!

Check out the lovely write-up here.

Well-deserved, indeed! Erika, as HFR stated, you do so much for us writers, both here and in your newsletters. And --oh yes!--your great articles and reviews in "The Writer."

You have provided tips and new directions too numerous for me to count, but always in your friendly, supportive voice. I'm so happy to see this acknowledgement.

Erika:

When I stumbled upon the many helpful web incarnations of the writerly you, I was frankly floored. Thanks for all you do, and I'm glad we could help spread the word!

Also, I hope you'll keep submitting your stories to us. Our editors change every year, so there's always a fresh set of eyes making the final decisions.
