The University of Nottingham (UK) sseeks to fill two Lecturer posts within the Department of Writing and Creativity in the School of English Studies: "We would welcome interest from practising creative writers and from academics that also publish creative work and have an interest in teaching creative writing. The New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award confers a $10,000 prize to an American writer age 35 or younger for a novel or short story collection. There is no entry fee. Books must be written for adults and must have a publication date between January 2009 and December 2009. Submission must come from the publisher. Deadline: August 28, 2009.
