Quotation of the Week: Maya Angelou

"When the language lends itself to me, when it comes and submits, when it says 'I am yours darling,'—that's the best part."

Hi Erika,
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm just catching up on reading yours--and all the rest that have slipped by in the last week.

I hadn't read Making Toast in the New Yorker but I heard his interview on Dianne Riehm. I just read the book in one night. I could NOT put it down. I cried and laught, mostly cried. It is a beautiful, beautiful book.
