--John Grisham

I'd never heard that one before. It's going in the list of all-time favorite quotes.

Thanks for sharing!

It is pretty good, isn't it? It caught my attention because I saw it just as my mom was throwing around a new idea for my niece's birthday present. My niece will be turning seven this summer, and she is, shall we say, a reluctant reader, but an avid user of her mom's iPhone (Aunt Erika's iPhone, too). My mom said, "What if we get her this Nook from Barnes and Noble I just saw a coupon for?" My sister has nixed the idea, and I couldn't really imagine my *niece* getting an e-reader before *I* do, but the logic behind my mom's suggestion was very much in line with Grisham's comment.
